a) Use of trailers and launchers
b) Can prepare boat, lines, fenders, safety equipment, fuel tanks, lines, secure gear on-board.
c) Understands crew factors and keeping a look-out
d) Fire safety awareness and emergency fire actions.
e) Can carry out pre-start checks, engine starting and stopping.
f) Carry out low-speed manouvres inc turning in confined spaces, effect of wind. Aware of flood dangers.
g) Can approach and secure to a buoy.

h) Understands methods of approach in various conditions
i) Aware of taking way off, comms, check-holding and depth whilst anchoring
j) Understands and can use different lines on board
k) Aware of speed and angle-of-approach
l) Can use springs and warps
m) Can recover man-overboard and take charge in an emergency

m) Has knowledge and skills in safety, theory and navigation.
